K1-10
Dual-indicator -10 architecture combining a Standard Carrier and Side Carrier.
- Two indicator positions
- Standard + Side Carrier
- Evaluate when side access better matches the second measurement position
Built for demanding fastener, aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing.
Standard Carrier + Vertical Carrier measurement architecture.
The Universal Punch K2-10 is a dual-indicator concentricity gage for cylindrical parts from 1/8–1 in (3–25 mm) in diameter and published part lengths up to 4 in (102 mm). The K2 architecture combines a Standard Carrier with a Vertical Carrier so two indicator positions can be configured around the same supported rotating part.
The K2-10 is the small-diameter member of Universal Punch's K2 dual-indicator concentricity-gage family. Current Universal Punch selection documentation identifies the model as a Dual Indicator Gage / 3–25 mm / Standard Carrier / Vertical Carrier.
Its defining feature is not simply that the gage can hold two indicators. The K2-10 provides two different carrier positions around one supported rotating component, including a vertical secondary measurement position. The actual characteristics inspected depend on the component, roller support, indicator contacts, datum strategy and drawing requirement.
The Universal Punch K2-10 is a dual-indicator concentricity gage for 1/8–1 in (3–25 mm) diameter parts. It combines a Standard Carrier and Vertical Carrier, supports published part lengths up to 4 in (102 mm), and is designed for precision rotational inspection where two indicator positions—including vertical secondary access—are useful in one gaging setup.
A single-indicator gage can be appropriate when one contact position answers the inspection requirement. The K2-10 becomes useful when the setup benefits from a second indicator position and that second measurement is better served by vertical access.
Universal Punch's current parts documentation separately identifies Standard Carrier and multiple Vertical Indicator Carrier configurations for -10 systems, reinforcing that carrier architecture is a genuine configuration decision rather than a cosmetic model difference.
Primary indicator position within the K2 dual-indicator architecture.
Secondary indicator access from a vertical carrier position.
Current Universal Punch general-data literature groups the K1/K2-10 platform at the dimensions and weight below. Legacy Issue 9 literature confirms the diameter and part-length class but lists a different K2-10 shipping weight, which is called out separately rather than silently reconciled.
The roller set must match the usable cylindrical support surfaces and required clearance around the part.
The adjustable top-arm and carrier positions allow the contact arrangement to be configured around the application.
Universal Punch documentation identifies a manual timing-belt pulley system as the standard rotational drive architecture.
The K2 layout allows two measurement contacts to be configured around the same supported rotating component.
K1 and K2 share the same dual-indicator concept. The second carrier architecture is what separates them.

Triple-indicator configurations for inspection setups requiring three indicator positions.
Universal Punch defines the Concentricity Gaging System around three primary selections. The value of the K2-10 depends on matching all three to the actual part and inspection objective.
Choose K2-10 when the -10 size class and Standard + Vertical Carrier dual-indicator architecture fit the inspection.
Match the support geometry to available cylindrical lands, shoulders, threads, grooves and required feature clearance.
Confirm indicator resolution, range, stylus access, mounts, carrier adjustment, stops, calibration requirements and optional drive system.
Because the K2-10 is a -10 model, it uses the published -10 roller families. The correct roller set depends on the available cylindrical support surfaces and required feature clearance.
Universal Punch's current parts documentation lists both analog and digital indicators, plus dovetail mounts, swivel supports, extensions and carrier hardware.
Indicator type should be chosen around the actual tolerance, probe direction, stylus reach, expected travel and documentation requirements.
The Standard and Vertical Carrier positions can be combined with published mounts and attachments to reach the intended measurement locations.
Accuracy classification, indicator resolution, calibration documentation and rotation method should be considered together when configuring the K2-10.
Universal Punch documentation identifies these classifications as calibrated and directly traceable to NIST. Confirm the exact K2-10 configuration, indicator resolution and documentation requirements when ordering.
Universal Punch documentation identifies a 24 VDC variable-speed motorized system for selected gage models, including a dedicated K2-10 assembly with forward/reverse and variable-speed control. Confirm controller, transformer and final drive configuration with the quote.
The K2-10 is worth evaluating when the part fits the -10 size class and the inspection arrangement benefits from a second measurement position accessed from a Vertical Carrier.
If side access is better for the second measurement, evaluate K1-10. If three simultaneous measurement positions are required, evaluate the KK1-10 or KK2-10 architectures.
The same Standard + Vertical Carrier architecture is published across three common diameter classes.
