H-10
Concentricity Gage
The Universal Punch H-10 extends the -10 diameter class into longer-shaft inspection. It is a Standard Shaft Gage with Vertical Carrier for parts from 1/8–1 in (3–25 mm) in diameter and lengths up to 12 in (305 mm).
The -10 Standard Shaft Gage for substantially longer cylindrical parts.
The Universal Punch H-10 is a Standard Shaft Concentricity Gage with a Vertical Carrier. It retains the small-part 1/8–1 in / 3–25 mm diameter class while extending the published workpiece length capacity to 12 in / 305 mm.
That longer workpiece envelope is the central reason the H-10 exists. Where models such as the B-10, G1-10, and G2-10 are published for parts up to 4 inches long, the H-10 creates a longer shaft-inspection platform while preserving the -10 diameter range.
The H designation also tells the buyer which architecture is being selected: Universal Punch identifies the H-Series as Standard Shaft Gages with Vertical Carriers. The final inspection system is then configured around the actual shaft diameter, support lands, roller geometry, indicator location, tolerance, and workflow.
Start with the H-10 when the part is within the -10 diameter range but is too long for the standard 4-inch platforms, and the inspection is best served by the H-Series Standard Shaft / Vertical Carrier architecture. If the shaft approaches 24 inches, compare the HL-10 before specifying the system.
Longer shaft capacity changes the inspection platform—not the need for precision support.
The H-10 is not simply a stretched B-10. Universal Punch classifies it as a separate Standard Shaft Gage family with a Vertical Carrier, H-Series short main rollers, and an extended base/rail architecture designed around longer cylindrical workpieces.
Published for 1/8–1 in / 3–25 mm cylindrical parts.
Published part-length capacity extends to 12 in / 305 mm—three times the 4-inch envelope of several nearby -10 models.
The H-Series uses a vertical-carrier measurement architecture for indicator positioning along the longer shaft platform.
Universal Punch publishes short Full Plain main roller sets specifically for H-10, H-20, and H-40 models.

Universal Punch documentation describes the Concentricity Gaging System as three primary selections. For the H-10, that architecture is especially important because longer shafts place more emphasis on support location, roller geometry, carrier position, and repeatable rotational control.
The H-10 establishes the -10 diameter class, Standard Shaft family, Vertical Carrier architecture, and published 12-inch part-length envelope.
The H-Series has dedicated Full Plain Short roller sets. For H-10, Universal Punch lists the 110-10HS set, with a published short-roller length of 0.6 in / 16 mm.
Indicator type, probe location, stops, end support, SPC requirements, fine adjustment, and powered rotation should be matched to the actual shaft geometry and tolerance.
As shaft length increases, the location of support surfaces and measurement points becomes more important. The H-10 should be configured from the print so the part is supported where the inspection actually requires it.
Universal Punch publishes an H-10 Variable Speed Motor Assembly with a 17 in / 432 mm base plate. The published variable-speed drive system is 24 VDC / 0–10 rpm with forward/reverse control.
A 12-inch capacity is useful only when the shaft is supported and measured correctly.
The H-10 gives engineers more workpiece length than the standard -10 platforms, but overall length is only one selection variable. Universal Punch still needs to know where the shaft can be supported, where the indicator must contact, and whether shoulders, steps, splines, threads, or other features interfere with the measurement path.
That review determines whether the H-10 is the right Standard Shaft architecture, whether an HL-10 is needed for even longer parts, and which support, roller, carrier, stop, or drive configuration should be quoted.

The hero presents the complete H-10. The supporting photographs show the full profile, Vertical Carrier and indicator, roller/drive region, and long rail/end-support structure so buyers can understand why the H-10 is different from the shorter -10 models.
Choose by architecture and shaft length—not diameter alone.
All three models can serve the -10 diameter class, but they solve different inspection problems. The G2-10 is a Side Checker Gage with Vertical Carrier and is published for parts up to 4 inches long. The H-10 is a Standard Shaft Gage with Vertical Carrier and extends that length to 12 inches. The HL-10 is the Extended Shaft Gage and reaches 24 inches.
This is the key model-selection logic for AI search, engineers, distributors, and first-time buyers: G2-10 = side-checking architecture, H-10 = standard shaft architecture, HL-10 = extended shaft architecture.
